My Mindful Activity Workbook
This is a fun introduction to mindfulness and feelings.
It can be done in short bursts and when your child fancies it! It is not meant to be ‘homework’ 😊
Children will learn to name and recognise their feelings and why they might feel the way they do. It would be helpful to start naming feelings (or ‘feeling bears’) that are around for the whole family.
The importance here is that we are normalising all feelings and learning that they are a very natural part of being human.
There are some mindfulness exercises to practise in this workbook. These will teach your child to come back to the present moment using grounding and breathing techniques. It is helpful for your child to practise breathing every day, when they are calm, so that it is familiar to them when they are having a wobble.
