12-15 years Mindfulness and Emotions (Zoom)
12-15 years Mindfulness and Emotions (Zoom)
This 6-week Zoom course provides children and young people with a toolkit of ideas to look after their wellbeing and mental health.
Examples of things covered in the course includes:
Mindfulness and how it can help in life
Ways to manage emotions, including anger, worry and anxiety
Tips to manage the ups and downs of life
Stress in school such as friendships and tests
Stress at home such as siblings and everyday family life
Happiness and gratitude
Resilience and self-esteem
Your child does not need to have emotional ‘issues’ to benefit from the course. The content is fun and useful for all!
I always weave in whatever is coming up for the young people in their lives, at the time.
The group make a craft each session. We usually start it at the end of the session and then they finish in their own time. You will be given a list of the crafts before the course starts and will be asked to gather the resources each week.
Each session is 45 minutes long. I share my screen during parts of the session to show engaging visuals. At other times we are on ‘gallery view’ so that we can interact, and I can demonstrate mindfulness exercises.
The young people are sometimes on mute but also have opportunities to share and feedback. There is no pressure for individuals to share or talk if they choose not to.
There are no more than 8 in a group (usually around 6).
Please note, your child would benefit from using the Chatterminds workbook alongside each session. The workbook is suggested for 6 to 12 year olds, however, the material benefits all ages. It contains worksheets, journal pages and craft instructions needed throughout the course and can be purchased here.
If you wish to pay in 3 installments then please select the appropriate payment option below (£100 initial fee followed by 2 more equal payments due on weeks 3 and 5). We will invoice via email and the payments will need to be made via BACS.
